Course Description

The course objectives cover teaching the skills under the following main categories:

To teach the skills under this subject, the course uses a variety of teaching methods to ensure mastery of intended skills, as well as the correct applications of said skills and gained knowledge. The various teaching methods include: engaging video explainers, video lectures, advanced graphics and animation, interactive exercises, gamification, interactive illustration, various assessment styles, and online exams.

Chapter 1: Grammar – Part I

Chapter 2: Grammar – Part II

Chapter 3: Grammar – Part III

Identify the meaning of prepositional phrases, Identify the role and use of relative pronouns (who, which, that, and more), Use reflexive pronouns in context appropriately (myself, yourself, herself, and more), Identify and use question tags.

Chapter 4: Reading – Part I

Learn new vocabulary related to various topics, Read and understand informational texts, Identify elements of poetry, Identify story elements.

Chapter 5: Reading – Part II

Learn new vocabulary related to various topics, Compare and contrast texts, Match causes and effects in informational texts, Read graphic organizers.

Chapter 6: Listening – Part I

Listening and comprehension, listen different topics and answer questions.

Chapter 7: Writing – Part I

Differentiate between facts and opinions, Organize information paragraphs, Summarize stories and paragraphs, Practice revising paragraphs, Read and spell the words, Introduce the “no excuse” words list for Grade 5 (against, beautiful, caught, mountain, problem, several, straight, understand, and many more).
